Dr. Kuldeep Agarwal, Chairperson BOSSE and Academic Officer Ms. Jyoti Rajawat attended the three days 53rd COBSE CONFERENCE held at Chandigarh from 28th to 30th August, 2024. The theme of the Conference was ‘COMPETENCY BASED TEACHING &ASSESSMENT”.

Shri Bandaru Dattatreya, Hon’ble Governor of Haryana with Saraswati Vandana.Welcome Speech was delivered by Dr. V.P. Yadav, Chairman, Board of School Education (BSEH), Haryana and the Introductory Address was delivered by Mrs. Asano Sekhose, President COBSE & Chairperson, Nagaland Board. After the welcome of the dignitaries vote of Thanks was delivered by Shri M.C. Sharma, General Secretary, COBSE.
Very informative, innovative and eye opening sessions were held by the high level Officials from Education Department and eminent Educationists from National and International School Boards. Presentations were made on topics such as Competency Based Teaching & Assessment in various Boards, establishing Academic Equivalence across diverse Education Boards, best Innovative Practices by various States, an overview of Examination System by International Board of Mauritius and Bhutan, Competency based Pedagogy and Assessment at various Educational Institute and Board Schools.
A detailed discussion also took place regarding the maintenance of secrecy during Exams at various levels, issues concerning Unfair Means & GST.
In the end presentations of Group Reports were done. The General Body meeting of COBSE was also held to discuss the emerging issues.
The programme concluded with the thanks giving speech by Dr. V.P. Yadav, Chairman Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani .Closing remarks was addressed by Mrs. Asano Sekhose, President, COBSE and Vote of Thanks was given by Shri M.C. Sharma, General Secretary, COBSE.
An enthralling Sight Seeing trip of THE CITY BEAUTIFUL CHANDIGARH organized by the Host Board served as icing on the cake.
